"I've had this bag for at least five years, maybe longer. I work from home, and all my reading and writing supplies travel from room to room with me. All the side pockets seem to be tailor-made for whatever I decide I need to stuff in there. It goes on vacation with me and has held up beautifully, no matter how I toss it around. On a plane trip, the flight attendant jokingly referred to my messenger bag (also a fine Levenger product, and tucked behind in the photo) as a purse. Ever since, the messenger bag has been my 'man purse' and this bag, my 'house purse'. I have a second one that holds my board game supplies, and we've given them as gifts. I highly recommend this bag!"

Are the handles made of leather?
Handles are made of our LexTex (Leather alternative and known for it’s durability)
This LOOKS like it can be 'slung' over my shoulder by the handles - without the strap being used until I want to 'cross' my body with it. Can it? I'd love to have carry it over my shoulder rather than just holding the handles. Possible?
Yes you can carry it on your shoulder using just the handles.
Are the handles long enough to throw the bag over my shoulder (without using the strap)? When the first bags like this came out, I could...then the next 4 couldn't!
The Oxford Book Tote has been tested to fit over the shoulders, although it may not be the most comfortable way to carry the tote.
I NEED THIS IN BLACK COTTON LIKE YOU USED TO HAVE. PLEASE GET THIS BAG IN BLACK COTTON, I LOVED IT.
