But I couldn’t find a pencil that suited my needs until I discovered Blackwing pencils. (I had read that some of our greatest writers used Blackwing. ) Since my first time writing with the Blackwing, I don’t use any other pencil. The Black Soft Pencil is my favorite."
"The soft core Blackwing is indispensible for both quick sketches and detailed drawings. The core is lusciously buttery and makes satisfying dark lines; however, a light touch renders a still solid, yet more delicate mark. With a bit of practice, one can forego a set of graphite pencils and merely use this. **Nota bene: this core is soft and requires more frequent sharpening, which is best done in a hand sharpener."
