Because the Writer’s Edge is so compact, you can move it on a moment’s notice and take it from room to room. The inclined surface adds a remarkable degree of comfort while writing. It holds letter-size paper, Circa notebook or Freeleaf pad and has a raised lip to anchor your paper in place. Lift the hinged lid to store your pens, extra paper and other writing supplies. Of course, it also serves splendidly as a lap desk. A Levenger Heritage Technology product, based on the design by Robert Schmuhl, the Walter H. Annenberg-Edmund P. Unfortunately Nonfunctional

"Good-looking writer's desk rendered non-functional by the bottom ledge, which cuts into my wrist when I am trying to write. I thought it would be great to use on my desk with a pad of Freeleaf paper for taking notes from the computer, but it is not. The lip is too high and too sharp and writing becomes more painful the further down the page I get. Did no one at Levenger actually use this product prior to selling it? I have not attempted to return it because it is heavy and I do not want to pay postage for poor design."
